Generic Request Related Document Module

Generic Request Related Document is a module of the Generic Request application developed by the Center of Research & Development company. It allow you to link any Odoo documents with requests.

You can enable or disable the use of this module in the settings.

  1. Click Requests on the left dashboard menu.                                                                                                                                                                                                                    
  2. Under the Configuration menu click Settings.                                                                                                                                                                                                                   
    The Settings page opens.
  3. Scroll down to find the Documents Related to Requests option and select or clear the checkbox.
  4. Click Save on the left at top.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

To be able to link the documents related to requests we need to create Related Document Types. Under Configuration menu find Related Documents Types.

To create a new type click the Create button.

In the Document Model select the type of document model you would like to add to the system.

Now you can select models of the documents that can be associated with a certain requests.

Requests with related documents can be seen on the requests page. On kanban view they will have the corresponding icon. The number next to the icon shows the number of related documents.

Click on the any request. The request form opens.

In the request form, a new Documents button on the top right will appear. The digit displays the number of related documents.

Click the Documents button. You will be redirected to the documents page. To add a new document click the Create button.

In the next form click the drop-down menu next to the Document Type.

You will see all document models available for this type of requests. Select from the list.

A new drop-down menu appears. Click and select the desired option. Click Save on the top left of the form.
